Biography

Veronica Sanchez is a proud Latina with Mexican heritage from Zacatecas. She has called Jurupa Valley home for over 30 years and is the daughter of Jose and Noemi Sanchez. As a dedicated member of her community, Veronica is committed to making a positive impact through her professional and volunteer work. Elected as a councilmember of District 4 in November 2024, she is eager to continue her service to the community that has shaped her life.

Community Involvement

Veronica is deeply passionate about giving back to the community. As the owner of "The Industry Barber Company" in Jurupa Valley, she has hosted numerous community events such as the "Backpack Giveaway" and "Trunk or Treat," providing local residents with valuable resources. In addition, Veronica volunteers her time by offering free haircuts at homeless shelters in San Bernardino and at local high schools within the Rubidoux and Jurupa Unified School Districts. Her dedication to community service is also reflected in her role as a board member of the Jurupa District Lions Club, where she participates in various projects aimed at improving the lives of those around her. A strong advocate for small businesses, Veronica is also an active member and ambassador for the Jurupa Valley Chamber of Commerce. 

Education & Work Experience

Veronica's educational journey began in the Jurupa Unified School District, starting at Sunnyslope Elementary, continuing through Mission Middle School, and culminating in her graduation from Rubidoux High School in 1999. After completing her studies, she pursued a career as a barber, graduating from Roston's Barber College and becoming a licensed professional with over 17 years of experience. In 2017, she took the next step in her career by establishing her own business, "The Industry Barber Company," which has become a beloved local business in Jurupa Valley. Alongside her work as a small business owner, Veronica has spent more than a decade as a barber educator, mentoring aspiring barbers, helping them obtain their licenses, and supporting them in launching their own businesses. Through this work, she has had a significant impact on the next generation of barbers, guiding them toward successful careers.
