The Riverside Transmission Reliability Project (RTRP) is a joint project between Southern California Edison (SCE) and the Riverside Public Utilities (RPU).
SCE and approved contractor crews will soon be working on the electrical grid in Jurupa Valley to implement improvements that boost Riverside's electric transmission capacity and support the growing energy demands.

Extended RTRP Construction Work Hours, July 29-Aug. 6:Extended work hours for the Riverside Transmission Reliability Project (RTRP) on 68th St. near VanderMolen Elementary in Jurupa Valley from July 29–August 6. May 2025
Preconstruction activities may begin in May 2025. Project construction work is planned to run continuously from June 2025 through 2028. SCE and contractor crews will be installing new underground structures and cables throughout the City of Jurupa Valley.
Work Timeline:
• Dates: Work on the Project will begin June 2025 and will continue through 2028.
• Days and times of operation: Monday- Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, weekend and nighttime work TBD.
