The Traffic Engineering Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of traffic within City limits. Our goal is to optimize traffic flow on arterial streets, enhance the safety of neighborhood and school zones, and improve traffic management throughout the City. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 • Accident data collection and analysis
 • Traffic volume data collection
 • Establishment of Speed Zones
 • Investigating and responding to the need for street lights, pedestrian safety improvements, traffic calming and school safety improvements

Limonite Avenue between Etiwanda and Wineville (JCSD Project)

Temporary Road Closures

Lucretia Avenue

From March 14, 2018 to March 26, 2018, Lucretia Avenue will be closed in both directions from Limonite Avenue to Sky Country Drive.  Please follow detour signs.

36th Street

A Rubidoux Community Services District (RCSD) contractor will be closing 36th Street between Crestmore Road and Daly Avenue to install a new 8” water line. The area will be closed to thru traffic but allow residents,mail, and trash pick up access. The temporary closure will begin January 29, 2018 through March 20, 2018.
