Mr. Hofferber retired from the Riverside County Flood Control & Water Conservation District in July of 2014 as the Chief of the Surveying and Mapping Division after more than 36 years of service. Mr. Hofferber has been a licensed land surveyor in California since 1997 and has been surveying since 1973. During his professional career, he served as the President, 2011, of the California Land Surveyors Association, CLSA, Chair of the CLSA Education Foundation, 2012 to present, and taught as an adjunct professor at Norco College from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Mr. Hofferber was appointed by the Governor to the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyor and Geologists, BPELS&G, Land Survey Technical Advisory Committee, LSTAC in 2012 and termed out in 2014. He has been a member of the League of California Surveying Organizations, LCSO, since 2004 and was granted Emeritus status in 2014.
Mr. Hofferber is currently employed part-time by UNAVCO, a nonprofit university consortium involved in the installation and management of global position systems throughout North America, the Caribbean, and parts of Asia. He has been on the Planning Commission with the City of Jurupa Valley since August of 2016 and previously served for one year on the Jurupa Valley General Plan Advisory Committee.
