Micheal Goodland Bio

Micheal is married to Lorraine, for 39 yrs., has 3 sons’, all of whom graduated from Jurupa Valley High School and are married with children. Micheal and his family are Born Again believers, and attend a non-denominational Christian Church, and have lived in Jurupa Valley (Mira Loma) for 37 years.

    • Korea, 1965-1968; Viet Nam, 1968-69; Germany, 1969-1970; Korea, 1970-1971
  • Worked for City of West Covina Police Dept., 1971-1993
    • Served in the capacity as patrolman, detective, motor officer, SWAT member, 1st Aid training instructor, and founder of the Peer Support Counseling Group.
  • Taught Computer Science, 1994-2000
    • Wrote computer technology curriculum for newly incorporated IT school
  • Graduated from Cal Baptist University 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree
  • Supervisor for U.S. Decennial Census, 2008-2010
  • Elected to Jurupa Valley City Council, 2011 – 2015
    • City representative for Western Riverside Counsel of Governments
    • Represented WRCOG at Southern California Association of Governments
  • Reelected to the Jurupa Valley City Council in the 2016 General Election.
